Ans: The photography salon is open to photographers of all skill levels. Any resident photographer of India, professional or amateur, may participate. However, an entry may be rejected when the Sponsor or the Exhibition Organizers, in their reasonable discretion, believes the entry does not conform to Exhibition Rules and Conditions of Entry.

Ans: Yes, there is an entry fee to cover the administration and organization costs of the salon. See Rules.

Ans: The photography salon offers five (05) categories for submission, such as Open Colour (C), Open Monochrome (M), Nature (N), Portrait (C/M) and Macro Photo (C/M). Please check the competition guidelines for the details.

Ans: Subject to Divisional restrictions (particularly Nature and Macro Photography) images may be altered, either electronically or otherwise, by the entrant; adjustments to enhance images or creatively modify images are allowed providing the underlying photograph is retained in a way that is obvious to the viewer. Images may not be constructed entirely with a computer. Any generative use of AI (artificial intelligence) may be avoided.

Ans: The photographs are judged by a panel of experienced and renowned photographers. They evaluate the entries based on various factors such as composition, technical excellence, creativity, and adherence to the theme or category. The judging process is fair and impartial. Ans: Yes, the selected photographs will be displayed in a public exhibition and will be showcased on the Himalayan Camera Club website. This provides an opportunity for photographers to showcase their work to a wider audience.

Ans: Yes, there will be a total of 78 award prizes and recognition to the winners. There is a total of Rs 36000 as cash awards in the salon alongside trophies, medals, ribbons and certificates. The specific details regarding prizes and awards can be found in the competition portal.

Ans: Yes, you can participate in all the five sections. Maximum number entries per section is 4 (four).

Ans: The last date for participation in the contest is 25th November 2025. Beyond this date no entry will be accepted. However, if the closing date is extended, we will update the same in our website.

Ans: No. Entries must originate as photographs (image-captures of objects via light sensitivity) made by the entrant on photographic emulsion or acquired digitally.

Ans: Photos must be submitted in JPEG file format. Maximum Horizontal length is 1920 pix. Maximum Vertical length is 1080 pix. In 300 dpi. Compression 7-12, maximum 2Mb. All entrants must be ready to supply a high-resolution image suitable for printing in media, if asked.

Ans: Entries without Entry Fee will be not judged.

Ans: By entering this exhibition, you are explicitly consenting to the personal details you have supplied, including physical addresses, email addresses, being held, processed, and used by the exhibition organizers for purposes associated with this exhibition. You also explicitly consent to such information being sent to organizations that have accorded official recognition, patronage, or accreditation to this exhibition. Ans: Pictures created by artificial intelligence are not allowed in this salon! All parts of the image have to be photographed by the author who is holding the copyright of all works submitted.

Ans: Images containing nudes will not be accepted into this salon. This includes pictures of women/men in partial or full nudity that may be inappropriate for viewing by children.
